Spotlight on Featured E-Learning Instructor: Gary Gack

Post by Matt

As we are drawing on the close of August, I wanted to make sure Gary Gack, our second featured E-Learning Instructor was discussed before we chose our next set.

First, allow me to give some background on Gary.

Gary is the President and Founder of, which provides strategy advice, training, and coaching relating to integration and deployment of software and IT best practices. He received an MBA from the Wharton School, and is an ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer. Furthermore, he’s a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

He’s been involved in writing or co-writing several articles, and we had the pleasure of reviewing his book “Managing the Black Hole: The Executive’s Guide to Software Project Risk” (the book review and the book are available at our bookstore).

As I conducted the book review (and yes, that may be the reason I mentioned it), I had the opportunity to get to know Gary and his personality. Gary has an immense amount of knowledge when it comes to Six Sigma and Best Practices for sure, but he certainly doesn’t come off as a know-it-all. I found in discussing his book Gary is a terrific teacher, in that he explains things in language that anyone can understand, and makes it a point to be sure his knowledge is being transferred. It also became obvious his passion lies in his work, and this passion carries through his training.

We chose Gary to be one of our featured E-Learning Instructors for the month of August in particular because of his real-world, use-it-now approach to course construction. While we at CAI-U search and provide training that is applicable to our field immediately, Gary’s courses are the pinnacle of this goal. Check out his “Low Calorie” Lean Six Sigma DMAIC (Green Belt) training or his Best Practices Integration training to see for yourself.
