Spotlight on Featured E-Learning Instructor: Rex Black

Post by Matt

The second September  Featured E-Learning Instructor is Rex Black, President of Rex Black Consulting Services, Inc. (RBCS) and testing process wizard.

Rex Black has had clients such as Commonwealth Bank, CA, Sony, and HP.  He is the current president of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board and the immediate past president of the American Software Testing Qualifications Board.

He’s a prolific writer as well, having written six books on software testing including Pragmatic Software Testing and Foundations of Software Testing, both of which CAI-U has discussed with Rex Black in webinars available to watch (for free) from our Bookstore.

Rex Black performs consulting and training all over the world, and for good reason: his insight, expertise and hands-on knowledge are as unique as they are successful. He is recognized as a world thought-leader in software, hardware, and systems testing, having spent his professional life discovering and refining the methods and best practices for testing success.

The amount of information Rex Black shares is staggering. On CAI-U alone he has seven courses dealing with testing, three of which prepare the student for ISTQB certification.

What impresses me the most about Rex Black (besides his monumental knowledge of testing) is his constant pursuit of revolutionary ideas and practices. He travels the globe looking for and construction new, better ways to do testing, incorporating best practices from different organizations to produce practical hands-on benefits. Rather than rest on his past success, Rex Black is ever mindful of the changing environment of IT.

Feel free to check out his courses with the link I’ve provided above, I think you’ll be impressed with just how much Rex Black’s courses can benefit your organization.
